International roll-out

International companies more and more often use corporate patterns for IT solutions. They apply them to their branches in other countries, taking into account local legal, business and language requirements. It results from the need to:

• standardization of processes and functions within the entire corporation,
• process improvements based on the best practices in the corporation, industry and around the world,
• centralization of processes and functions,
• reduction of costs and implementation time by using a ready-made solution,
• reduction of system maintenance and administration costs.

These types of projects are referred to as roll-out. The roll-out project differs from the standard implementation primarily in its focus on the finished solution location. The subject of the work is therefore to define differences between local requirements and the reference solution and to adapt the organization to the reference model. Typical tasks in a roll-out project are:

• language localization,
• location of organizational structures,
• agreeing and adjusting the chart of accounts,
• preparation of financial statements in the local language version,
• reconciliation and adjustment of document types and tax codes,
• electronic data exchange with banks,
• reconciliation and adjustment of fixed assets.
