Product Catalogue

The main challenge in creating a product catalogue management platform was to create a tool that would run on an independent platform and, at the same time, be fully integrated with the SAP system. NESIM has developed a Product Catalogue, which is a tool for presenting the company’s offer using such forms as:

• product card,
• traditional paper catalogue,
• material file in the ERP system,
• electronic product catalogue: Excel, XML, HTML,
• special and promotional offer,
• catalogue offer on the website,
• product catalogue in the B2B platform or online store.

One central repository of product information ensures that data is always up-to-date in each of the final forms of its presentation. This ensures that the data in the catalogue made available in electronic form and in printed paper form are consistent and complete. This data can be modified in the SAP environment, using standard transactions for managing material master data, or via a web browser.

A function of the platform highly appreciated by our clients is the ability to generate a paper catalogue template. This template needs to be simply loaded into a graphic program and a finished project can be sent to the printing house. Creating an offer or a specialized catalogue, containing only a part of the offer, becomes simple and pleasant. The form of presentation of each product group can be defined individually or one of the previously prepared templates can be used.

The functionality provided by the platform:

• traditional paper catalogue,

• creating price lists based on data from the SD module and price conditions,
• easy navigation through the directory tree structure and its modification,
• changes in the order of nodes, changes in the hierarchy of nodes,
• the ability to add and remove nodes,
• the ability to change the properties of the selected category, i.e. change the name and description of the category, and additional information – Footer below the table,
• option to add a photo to the category,
• defining how products in a given category are to be displayed – implementation by selecting the type of table,
• the ability to export data to external Excel, XML, HTML files,
• changing the order of products in a selected category,
• moving a group of products to a selected category,
• viewing the list of generated files,
• editing additional product properties,
• the ability to import product data from external Excel, XML files,
• the ability to define the way of displaying products in a given category, i.e. selecting product properties that are to be exported.

Thanks to the flexible method of selecting the price conditions, in a simple and intuitive way, you can create a catalogue of products containing regular prices or prices dedicated to a specific customer or group of customers. The freedom to create catalogues combined with a variety of options and variants makes this platform suitable for any enterprise. Reducing the time of preparing the catalogue for the client to the necessary minimum gives huge savings and allows you to react instantly to the changing business environment.
