SAP integration

Successful implementation of an integrated, ERP class IT system brings the company numerous benefits, resulting from handling the main processes of the company in a single, coherent computer environment. The use of a central repository of basic data, avoiding redundancy of entered data, and finally the integration of broadly understood logistic, financial and personnel management areas allows for significant optimization and improvement of the company’s operations.

After the benefits of introducing the ERP system are realized, the next stage of enterprise integration is the inclusion of subsequent processes in the common system. This is usually done by integrating the ERP system with other domain systems, electronic devices or external computer systems of the company’s partners.

Significant benefits are also brought by the connection of the ERP system with electronic devices such as scales or panel displays. Interfaces of this type eliminate errors arising during manual data input, accelerate and facilitate work in the system, and enable the presentation of information from the system on various output devices, not only on the monitor screen.

A separate category of system integration is the inclusion into the common IT system of external partners of the company, its suppliers, customers or logistics operators and their computer systems. In the case of partners who use ERP systems themselves, such connection usually takes place via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). Economic documents are then sent in the form of messages defined on the basis of commonly accepted standards, such as EDIFACT or VDA.
