LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench)

LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) is a tool that allows for one-time or periodic transfer of data from existing ERP systems to SAP S / 3 systems. In certain cases, the source system may also be a SAP product.

Migration takes place in three steps:

• Data Import – from an existing system as sheets or sequential data files. The data is divided into basic (database, information about customers, products, warehouses) and transaction (sales documents, invoices, etc.).
• Data conversion – from source format to SAP, after previous faithful reconstruction of data structures in the SAP system.
• Data Reading – Using standard interfaces, providing additional compliance checks.
