Microsoft BizTalk Server

Microsoft middleware tool designed for communication between enterprises. It works on the basis of Microsoft .NET and the development and design work takes place in Microsoft Visual Studio.

It is intended that the integration process is based on a set of adapters including tools for communication of all systems used by a given enterprise. Communication takes place at the level of specific systems and between specific organizations.

BizTalk has a publish / subscribe architecture based on two basic components:

• Publishers – message providers (ports, processes, applications) which are then transformed to the target format and stored in the database.
• Subscribers – subscribers, a set of pre-programmed conditions, the fulfilment of which for a specific message causes reading it from the database and processing it.
